Welcome to the Bloomfield Educational Foundation!

The Bloomfield Educational Foundation, established as a 501 (c) - (3) organization in 1999, is dedicated to enhancing the education experience for all Bloomfield NJ students. 

We achieve this through programs such as:

  • Extraordinary Grants and Joseph Kliminski Teacher Grants to support innovative teaching and learning methods.  Go to the WHO WE FUND page on this website for applications.
  • College scholarships to deserving high school seniors
  • Annual events such as the Alumni Basketball game, Sunset Classic 5 Mile Road Race, the Annual Dinner and Fall Homecoming.

Foundation Celebrates 15th Anniversary of Supporting

Excellence in Education

    The BEF Annual Dinner celebrated fifteen years of contributions to excellence in education in the Bloomfield School District and was also pleased to honor four of Bloomfield's finest contributors to the community.  Alumni of the Year Awards were presented to Virginia Flannery Fetterly '49 and Joseph Barry '49;  Heather Tripucka Carr '68 received the Educator of the Year Award and the Sunset Classic Race Committee was bestowed the Community Organization of the Year Award.  The event took place on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, from 6:30-10:30PM.



26th Running of the Investors Bank Sunset

Classic Race a Success

   The Investors Bank Sunset Classic 5 Mile Race, was held on June 26 at 7PM.  Over 700 runners warmed up at Foley Field and the race started on Broad St., just steps from the Investors Bank branch.

    Paul Giuliano, Race Director, announced that this year the Sunset Classic is the USATFNJ Women's Open and Masters Championship Race.

    Proceeds benefit the V.E.S.T. program which provides vocational programs for Bloomfield's High School age students.
