Serving as a Bloomfield Educational Foundation (BEF) Board Member
Board Meetings:
BEF Board members are expected to attend four Board meetings a year. Beginning in 2026, the Board will meet the last Wednesday of the month, Jan. 28, 2026 (Zoom available); Feb. 25, 2026 (Zoom available); March 25, 2026; April 22, 2026; June 24, 2026; Sept. 23, 2026 at 5PM at Town Pub.
Donation Obligation:
While there is no donation amount associated with a Board member position, members are encouraged to contribute in some way to BEF’s donation total.
Committee Sign-Up:
Board members are encouraged to participate in one or more of the BEF committees.
These committees include:
Fund Raisers/Events Committee
Description: Help with one or more of the following annual events:
Calendar Raffle Ticket Sales – Sales begin in the fall for the following year of drawings.
Fall Tailgate – September or October at Town Pub
November Basketball Tip-Off – Held in November at Bella Napoli
January Alumni Basketball Game – Held the Friday of Martin Luther King weekend.
Spring Annual Gala – Scheduled for May 6, 2026
Fall BEF Golf Outing – Date to be determined.
BEF Grant Review Committee
Description: Reviews all grant requests and makes recommendations to the BEF Board for funding.
Strategic Planning
Description: At least once a year, committee members will put forth new Board members for BEF’s consideration.
