It was another excellent night, honoring the late Theodore ‘Ted’ Jasieniecki, at Bloomfield High’s George Cella Gym, this past Jan. 16.

The 37th annual Ted Jasieniecki Alumni Basketball Game honors the memory of Jasieniecki, a Bloomfield High graduate and standout basketball player. Ted was a 1967 graduate, where he starred on the hardwood for Coach Cella.

Of course, the night’s festivities are to raise scholarship money for Bloomfield High students.

“We raised over $4,500, and we would appreciate any more donations to help us reach our fundraising goal,” said Mike Sceurman. “We give two $4,000 scholarships each year. We have bestowed this honor to nearly 70 student-athletes since 1988, and over $200,000 in scholarships.”
