February 2026 Newsletter
It appears that many of you are experiencing an Arctic Blast, with lower-than-normal temperatures and even a lot, or at least some, snow! And, some of us are actually enjoying our weather…in the 80s…with doors and windows wide open.
I forgot to send along New Years’ Eve tickets that I would guess were used by all of us…meaning early to bed to avoid the drunks and the sore head the next morning!
February brings us Valentines’ Day on the 14th,and Presidents’ Day on the 16th. Those of us that have lost our spouses may feel particularly lonely with the former…but the antidote can be reconnecting with former BHS classmates…a reason we provide an updated Roster. We can still celebrate President’s Day, but as we are all retired…every day is a holiday!
In January we’ve heard from Armond D’Agostino, Bob Delezenski, Ed Cook, Ann Zimmerman, Bob Alvine, Dave Lagasse, Ronald Williams, and Wally Riker.
Annie Zimmerman reports a different email address for Carol Hill: carolslittlelamb@gmail.com.
Through Bob Cockefair we located Ronald Williams, and through Ronald, contact information for Walter (or is it Wallace) Prill. Ron has email and he is included in the Roster; Walter hasn’t responded address and telephone number is on the 3rd page of the Roster.
Through Bob Delezenski we got a city and state for John Wiesmeth, found his information (in Stroudsburg, PA, but a call and letter to his residence have gone unanswered.
And, we seem to have lost touch with Carol Yaede Marx. Annie Zimmerman’s Christmas card to her in Dover, PA was returned, with a forwarding expiration notification. We thought we had found her in the Westminster, MD area…but repeated telephone calls and emails to her son and daughter-in-law have gone unacknowledged.
While our folks were a part of the Greatest Generation…many of us have commented that our era (the 50s) was indeed something special. It was safe, our cars were classic, and the music we shared (on the car radio or juke box at our favorite hamburger joint)…memorable. A list of the latter is enclosed; enjoy.
Our next Zoom reunion is Friday, May 1, at 3 pm east coast time. Wally Riker will again begin a 2 pm for those who may need help logging on.
And…a continuing admonition: PLEASE DON’T FALL.
