A large group of former B.H.S. basketball players, family, and friends got together recently at Bloomfield Tavern and Kitchen, to celebrate the season tip-off of college basketball.  The top four teams in the country, Duke, Kansas, Michigan State, and Kentucky showcased their talents while our Bloomfield group enjoyed a buffet dinner.   We also previewed the start of the B.H.S. girls’ and boys’ basketball campaign.

Zac Dearwater, B.H.S. Girls Head Coach and Mike Passero, B.H.S. Boys Head Coach were featured introducing their respective staff.  Each coach expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming basketball season.  Prizes were part of the evening including basketball t-shirts, books, and tickets to a Seton Hall University game.

Former girls and boys basketball players from the 1950s and every decade since reminisced about yesteryear while also catching up on the present.  Coaches from over the years attended as well.  The social aspect of the event was clearly a highlight of the evening.   It is anticipated that this will become an annual event.
